Dear Club Members
Following Peterborough, next weekend, the next OTRC Racing Event will be the Club Regatta on 29 June 2019. This is essentially a social event for all club members with some fun (who are we kidding?) competition thrown in. The details of the format of the day are yet to be finalised but it will be along the lines of:
Set up and preparation in the morning
Competition/racing starting in the early afternoon comprising of races for all who wish to compete:
- Mixed Scratch doubles for the adults
- Doubles or quads or singles for the juniors, depending on numbers
- Quads or doubles for new racers (e.g. our new L2R) and recreational rowers
- Racing Entry fee of £2 per person
Refreshments (tea, coffee, cold drinks, cake) throughout the day.
BBQ (burgers etc provided for a small cost), later in the afternoon, going into the evening
BYO seats, other nibbles and alcohol
Prize giving & Award ceremony at around 5pm
More eating , drinking & socialising
It ends when it ends.
ALL members and their families/friends welcome to a traditionally great social day. Put the date in your diary, if it’s not already there.
